Prime Minister Masimov discusses Current Economic Policy with IMF Senior Officials

    Prime Minister Karim Masimov has met with an IMF delegation led by David Owen, IMF deputy director for the Middle East and Central Asia, reported the Prime Minister's Press Office.
    The current economic policy of Kazakhstan, forecasts for global economic development in 2009 and later were reviewed during the meeting.
    The IMF officials praised the actions of the Kazakhstani government to tackle the negative effects of the world crisis.
    They said successful economic management was possible due to the funding of commercial banks and measures to support and develop the real sector of the economy taken by the government of Kazakhstan.
    Karim Masimov and David Owen expressed their confidence in a continuation of further successful and productive cooperation, according to CA-News.org.
