2010 National Budget should focus on National Fund and Gold and Currency Reserves - Nazarbayev

13.08.2009
The 2010 national budget should take into account the security of the National Fund as well as gold and exchange currency reserves, President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, said during a meeting on the national budget in Borovoy on Wednesday, Kazakhstan Today reports citing a presidential press release.
According to the message, those present discussed key budget parameters for 2010-2012.
"The 2010 budget is being developed during a difficult world financial crisis. We do not see significant improvements in the situation with the world financial system. Spasmodic growth and drops in prices for chief goods have been ongoing. A rigid econimization of resources remains very important," Nazarbayev said.
According to the press release, the budget for 2010, which was presented yesterday by Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, took into account the head of state’s assignments for supporting social welfare, the implementation of the national “Road Map,” program, anti-crisis measures and high-potential infrastructure projects, according to Kazakhstan Today.
