Masimov, Gref discuss Bilateral Banking Cooperation

Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, and the Chairman of the Savings Bank of Russia, Herman Gref, exchanged opinions on the current situation on international financial markets, discussed bilateral cooperation in the banking sector and stimulating the operation of the Savings Bank of Russia on Kazakhstan’s financial market, a press release stated.
According to Gref, in 2009 the Savings Bank of Russia has increased its volume of operations in Kazakhstan by 20%, and intends to reach 50% by end of 2009.
The Chairman of the Savings Bank informed the prime minister on progress with the joint implementation of agreements reached by the presidents of Kazakhstan and Russia, with the Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund, according to Kazakhstan Today.
