Kazakhstan’s Unemployment reaches 6.4%

    The number of unemployed in Kazakhstan reached 558,700 persons, for an unemployment rate of 6.4%, a report from the Kazakhstan Statistics Agency states.
    According to the report, 92,300 people were officially registered at labor offices by the end of 2009, which is 1.1% of the employable population.
    Latent unemployment constituted 0.7% of the economically active population, according to CA-News.org.
