US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton Plans to Visit Kazakhstan

During his visit to the United States, Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Kanat Saudabaev met with US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. The first visit of Hillary Clinton to Kazakhstan happened in 1998, when she was first lady. Now, she will make an official visit Kazakhstan in the capacity of the US Secretary of State.
"Hillary Clinton wished all the best to Nursultan Nazarbaev and accepted his invitation to visit Kazakhstan," said the Foreign Ministry. It is also said that Clinton talked about US interest in strengthening bilateral relations in different arenas.
"The USA values the Kazakhstan President’s call to draft a nuclear non-proliferation treaty. Kazakhstan is a recognized leader in terms of nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation and we hope for further cooperation in this area. Our countries share the vision of a world free from nuclear weapons," the US Secretary of State said.
According to Kazakhstan’s Foreign Ministry, the importance of the oncoming global summit on nuclear security with the participation of Nazarbaev, which will take place in the USA, was particularly stressed.
Hillary Clinton also said that the USA is grateful to Kazakhstan for help in strengthening regional security and assistance provided in the efforts of the international coalition in Afghanistan, particularly for participating in cargo transit through this country, CA News reports.
