Turkish President Agrees to Kazakhstan Becoming Involved in the Nabucco Project

Turkish President Abdullah Gul said on Friday that there were strong reasons for Turkey and Kazakhstan to work together, according to the Anadolu Agency.
Speaking at the Turkish-Kazakh Business and Investment Forum in Istanbul, Gul said that he invited the businesses of the two countries to cooperate more.
“We signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Kazakhstan on Thursday. Prior to this agreement, we acted together as strategic partners”, Gul said.
“We are two brotherly countries. We are two separate parts of the same nation. The home of our forefathers is Kazakhstan. We have never forgotten the lands of our forefathers. I witnessed great hospitality during my two separate visits to Kazakhstan”, Gul indicated.
“It is a reality that Kazakhstan has become the shining star of Asia. Kazakhstan has succeeded in establishing national unity”, he continued.
He further commented, “When I look at the participants of the Turkish-Kazakh Business and Investment Forum, I see representatives of Turkish companies who have succeeded well abroad. Our entrepreneurs would like to work with their Kazakh counterparts in Turkey, Kazakhstan and other countries”.
“Kazakhstan has expressed an interest to be part of the Nabucco Project as long as relevant countries sign an agreement. Kazakhstan will be part of the Nabucco Project and Kazakh natural gas will be transferred to Europe”.
“It is our wish to cooperate more with our Kazakh brothers. There are strong reasons for Turkey and Kazakhstan to work together. We invite the business leaders of our respective countries to work more together and make use of the potential”, Gul concluded, according to Trend.
