KazMunaiGas Proposes Higher Pricing for High Octane Fuel

KazMunaiGas is proposing higher wholesale prices for high-octane petrol to stabilise the situation on the fuel market.
KazMunaiGas’ Director of Oil Refining and Marketing Daniyar Tiyesov said at a press conference in Astana on October 30 that in order to stabilise the domestic fuel market, wholesale prices for high-octane petrol should be raised,.
"In my opinion, the wholesale price for petrol should be 80-85 tenge per litre," he said.
He went on to say that imports of high-octane fuel accounted for 40% of domestic demand, according to Caspian Energy.
