The oil cost price in Kazakhstan is about $15 per barrel. The academician of the National Academy of Sciences, Nadir Nadirov stated, Kazakhstan Today reports citing official mass media.
"The question of full development of deposits all over the world still remains undecided. The cost of development influences this question. Oil has been drifting for 50 years due to gravity flow. The cost of extraction was low. Now oil lies at the depth of 5 - 6 kilometers. We need to pump water and air to extract it, therefore, the cost of extraction grows," N. Nadirov said.
The oil cost price, according to N. Nadirov, in Iran and Iraq is one dollar per barrel, in Russia - $12 dollars, and in Kazakhstan is about $15, according to Kazakhstan Today.
