NATO Secretary General to visit Kazakhstan

NATO Secretary General, Anders Fogh Rasmussen, will visit Kazakhstan, as per an agreement reached on January 27 during negotiations in Brussels involving operating OSCE chairman, Secretary of State - the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Kanat Saudabaev, and NATO Secretary General, Kazakhstan Today reports citing a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.
According to the press release, during the meeting, the officials considered cooperation between Kazakhstan and NATO and hailed the negotiations, which came to an end last week, noted the next cycle of the individual plan for partnership action of the North Atlantic Alliance with Kazakhstan as the basis for partnership and opening of new prospects for cooperation.
Rasmussen named Kazakhstan as the key partner of NATO in Central Asia, noting the security forum of the Council for Euro-Atlantic Partnership in Astana last year and joint exercises, according to Kazakhstan Today.
