Masimov – develop Banking Transparency Legislation

Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Masimov at a government session, ordered the government to develop legislation designed to enhance transparency in banking activity in Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan Today reports.
"The head of state said banks should only be engaged in banking activity, and they should not have any communication with various affiliated structures," Masimov reminded.
He assigned the Agency for Financial Supervision, the National Bank, the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Finance to develop corresponding proposals and draft legislation by May 1, which then will be brought to the parliament, according to Kazakhstan Today.
