Saudabaev to make First Visit to China as State Secretary

    Secretary of State - the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, the OSCE chairman, Kanat Saudabaev, will visit China, upon invitation by Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Peoples Republic of China, Yang Jiechi, the Official Spokesperson for the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Askar Abdrahmanov, said at a Ministry of Foreign Affairs briefing, Kazakhstan Today reports.
    "During the visit, he will carry out negotiations with the Chinese leadership to discuss the current condition and prospects for bilateral and multilateral cooperation."
    "Saudabaev will give a lecture at the Academy of Social Studies of the Peoples Republic of China - Kazakhstan - China: strategic partnership for the sake of peace and prosperity of the region," Abdrahmanov said.
    He said, "It will be Saudabaev's first visit to Beijing as the Secretary of State - the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan."
    "This trip is aimed at further development of political dialogue, continuing of the practice of regular meetings of the heads of foreign policy departments of the two countries, and the implementation of top-level agreements," Abdrahmanov concluded, according to Kazakhstan Today.
