Nazarbayev creating Oil and Gas Ministry – appoints Minister

Kazakhstan will create an Oil and Gas Ministry, President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev stated during a meeting with the oblast akims and Astana and Almaty cities concerning the accelerated industrial-innovative development of Kazakhstan to 2014, Kazakhstan Today reports.
"We will create Oil and Gas Ministry to implement the policy for the development of the oil and gas sector," Nazarbayev said, according to Kazakhstan Today.
The heads of new ministries of Kazakhstan was appointed. On March 12 at a meeting with the governors of oblasts, cities of Astana and Almaty on the program of accelerated industrial-innovative development of Kazakhstan by 2014 said Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
Sauat Mynbayev, who previously headed the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources was appointed the Minister of Oil and Gas.
Aset Issekeshev was appointed the Minister of Industry and New Technologies, he also empowers the Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.
Zhanar Aitzhanova was appointed the Minister of Economic Development and Trade, which will be established on the basis of the ministry of economy and budget planning. Bakhyt Sultanov dismissed the Minister of Economy and Budget Planning.
Ministry of Communications and Information is now headed by Askar Zhumagaliyev, formerly a head of KazakhTelecom, Kazakhstan Today reports.
