Kazakhstan suggests holding Meeting of Presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia in Astana

Kazakhstan as the OSCE chairman, has suggested holding a meeting of the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia in Astana in 2010, Minister for Foreign Affairs Kazakhstan, Kanat Saudabaev stated during a meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the CIS countries in Moscow, Kazakhstan Today reports citing RIA RosBusinessConsulting (RBC).
"We, as part of the peaceful resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict on the basis of the Madrid principles, will render assistance to the Minsk OSCE group and are ready to organize a meeting of the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Astana in 2010," Saudabaev said.
He stressed that Kazakhstan during its chairmanship over the OSCE will undertake all efforts possible, "to assist in the successive advancement of positive trends" in the resolution of conflicts in CIS countries, according to Kazakhstan Today.
