"KazMunaiGas JSC is ready to sell up to half of its shares in the Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant to a big Russian oil company, said KMG Managing Director for Processing and Marketing Daniyar Tiesov during a press conference in Astana.
"We would like to see a major oil company from Russia among the shareholders in the plant in order to strategically resolve the ongoing problem with the stable loading of the plant with Russian oil," said Tiesov.
"We want to sell on the market up to half of the package (of shares)," he said.
He noted that crude oil was the key to starting negotiations on the possible sale of shares in the plant.
"We have a stake in having a partner who would be interested in this asset, and who is ready to supply oil and invest in this plant," concluded Mr. Tiesov, Kazinform reports.
