Kashagan Production to start before End 2012 - Mynbayev

    Crude oil output at the Kashagan field will start no later than the end of 2012, Minister of Oil and Gas Sauat Mynbayev said at a session with the heads of oil production companies in the Atyrau Oblast.
    "There were problems with hook-up and commissioning. But we came to an understanding with the consortium participants. Hence, there will not be a time displacement for the experimental work at the Kashagan," Mynbayev said.
    He noted that at the first stage, oil extraction at the Kashagan field will reach 370,000 barrels per day, according to Kazinform.
