National Bank of Kazakhstan issues Commemorative Coins for Asian Winter Games

    The National Bank of Kazakhstan has issued a new series of gold and silver commemorative coins, commemorating the 7th Asian Winter Games 2011.
    The limited edition 100 Tenge gold coin was minted with only eight thousand pieces. The heads side of the coin depicts a stylized image of a ski run and the number 2010, for the year of issue. On the left section of the tails side is an image of the Tien-Shan fir-tree.
    Tails shows the logo for the 7th Asian Games 2011 with an engraved background of stylized ice in the center. The image is framed by ideograms of winter sports.
    A certificate from the National Bank guarantees authenticity of the coin, according to Kazinform.
