National Bank of Kazakhstan issues Commemorative Coins for Asian Winter Games

    The National Bank of Kazakhstan has issued a new series of gold and silver commemorative coins, commemorating the 7^th Asian Winter Games 2011.
    The limited edition 100 Tenge gold coin was minted with only eight thousand pieces. The heads side of the coin depicts a stylized image of a ski run and the number 2010, for the year of issue. On the left section of the tails side is an image of the Tien-Shan fir-tree.
    Tails shows the logo for the 7^th Asian Games 2011 with an engraved background of stylized ice in the center. The image is framed by ideograms of winter sports.
    A certificate from the National Bank guarantees authenticity of the coin, according to Kazinform.
