President Nazarbayev arrives in France - 1^st Session of Nazarbayev - Sarkozy Commission, Business Forum scheduled

    President Nursultan Nazarbayev arrived in France yesterday on an official visit, Kazakhstan Today reports citing a presidential press release.
    According to the statement, "an official welcoming ceremony took place upon his arrival.
    According to the Press Secretary to the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Ilyas Omarov, the first session of the Kazakhstan-French Presidential Commission referred to as "Nazarbayev - Sarkozy" will take place during the visit, along with the Kazakhstan-French Business Forum, and the "Days of the Kazakhstan Economy in France".
    "The official visit on part of President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, to France takes place October 27 - 28, during which, the head of state will hold meetings with the top French administration, including President of France, Nicolas Sarkozy, and Prime Minister, François Charles Amand Fillon ."
    Omarov said the official visit is expected to result in the signing of specific intergovernmental and interdepartmental agreements, along with a package of commercial documents.
