Kazakhstan's entire cabinet resigned Friday, in line with the constitution, after Nursultan Nazarbayev was inaugurated for five more years as president of the Central Asian state.
Nazarbayev, re-elected by a landslide in Sunday's presidential vote, is expected to re-appoint or replace government ministers over the next few days.
Until then, ministers would continue in an acting capacity, Prime Minister Karim Masimov said in an address to Nazarbayev in parliament, according to Reuters.
