Kazakhstan to amnesty over 14,000 convicted Criminals

More than 14,500 prisoners will be granted amnesty according to an amnesty law adopted in Kazakhstan in the light of 20th anniversary of state independence, the Justice Ministry said Wednesday, Novosti-Kazakhstan reports.
Earlier, the Prosecutor General’s Office had announced the amnesty act would concern as many as 13,000 people.
