3 New Departments to open at Nazarbayev University

    Three new departments will open during the next academic year at Nazarbayev University, including a School of Engineering, a School of Science and Technology, as well as a School of Social Sciences and Humanities.
    University Rector Shigeo Katsu announced the plans at a press conference, Kazinform reports.
    Each program is worked out in collaboration with international universities.
    Nazarbayev University received its first students in autumn 2010.
    The University has 480 students at the moment and intends some 500 more for the next academic year. Students can choose among 17 specialties, Trend said.
