Europe-Asia rally participants arrive in Almaty

The city of Almaty has welcomed drivers participating in the Europe-Asia rally organized by the Nur Otan Party, together with the Union of Veterans of Afghanistan and the Kazakhstan Air Force.
The two-week race is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s Independence and involves crews fr om Germany, Russia and Kazakhstan.
In Almaty, the final destination of the rally, participants laid flowers at the Eternal Flame Monument in Panfilov Park.
Alexander Ashrafov started from Yekaterinburg, and joined the German team in Chelyabinsk to go together to Astana, from wh ere the motorcade moved to Yekibastuz, Bayan-Aul, Karaganda, Balkhash, Kapshagai and Taldykorgan.
Alexander Ashrafov, Motor Rally Participant (Russia) states, “We like the race. Everything was so beautiful, people are so friendly, and they are in a good mood. This is evidence that the unity of the people of Kazakhstan is at a high level. We like the way we were welcomed, and the way people are optimistic here”.
Sanzhar Bokayev, Deputy Chairman, Almaty Office of Nur Otan People’s Democratic Party added, “This is not just a rally. It is a connection of the times, aimed at promoting peace, unity and accord not only in Kazakhstan, but also with the countries that our motorcade drove through,” Caspionet said.
