Obama seeks meeting with Nazarbayev at nuclear security summit in Seoul

Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has received a personal message from US President Barack Obama; Kazinform refers to the presidential press service.
According to Mr. Obama, since gaining independence Kazakhstan has been one of the world's leaders in the field of nuclear disarmament and nonproliferation.
President Obama emphasizes the significance of the second nuclear security summit planned for March 2012 in Seoul, South Korea.
"During the summit Washington and Astana can make a significant contribution to the solution of nuclear safety problems, to determine further steps towards a world free of nuclear weapons," the message reads.
Barack Obama expresses hope for a meeting with President Nursultan Nazarbayev in Seoul to discuss bilateral relations and cooperation in the international arena, Kazinform reports.
