8^th Interregional Cooperation Forum kicks-off in Astrakhan

    The 8^th Kazakhstan and Russia Interregional Cooperation Forum with the participation of Presidents Nursultan Nazarbayev and Dmitry Medvedev has started in Astrakhan.
    The forum is themed, Joint Response to Trans-border Emergency Situations, and brings together government authorities, ministers, heads of departments and reps from the cross-border regions of Kazakhstan and Russia.
    Those attending will debate prospects for joint responses to trans-border emergencies, cooperation in sanitation and epidemiological disaster response in cross-border regions, the elimination of the consequences of natural disasters, and emergency assistance programs.
    A set of documents will be signed following the discussions, according to Kazinform.
