Nursultan Nazarbayev has received Kazakhstan’s Minister of Justice, Rashid
Tusupbekov, who reported to the president on current operation of the Justice Ministry, intellectual property issues and executive procedures.
The two men also discussed the execution of orders given by Nursultan Nazarbayev to improve and simplify the provision of public services.
They also paid particular attention to the new law on religions during their discussion, which was recently sent to the president.
President Nursultan Nazarbayev stated, “There was much discussion on the law on religions. What did we include in this and what did we not? Is this a necessary law?
Minister of Justice, Rashid Tusupbekov commented, “It is needed. We need to put religious organizations onto the official register, and it is necessary to monitor their financing. This sector receives large donations from individuals, and we need to track how the money is being spent,” according to Caspionet.
