KPO cuts Gas Supplies to Orenburg GPP

29.12.2011
Karachaganak Petroleum Operating (KPO) has reduced its supply of gas to the Orenburg GPP because of the consortium’s improved existing reprocessing capacity, confirmed Minister of Oil and Gas Sauat Mynbayev.
"I can confirm that it was declined, they (KPO-KazTAG) have refining capacity. It was not declined because of any disagreements, but rather because they have the ability to process on their own," he said Wednesday.
"In principle, they now have the ability to process the condensate themselves. But it is clear that they need spare capacity, perhaps a certain volume will still be delivered," said Mynbayev, according to KazTAG.
