30,000 Voters to be interviewed at Kazakh Exit Poll

    During the upcoming elections to the Majilis (lower house) and maslikhats (local representative body) in Kazakhstan on January 15, around 30,000 people will be interviewed as part of an exit poll, President of the Public Fund Center for Social and Political Studies Strategy Gulmira Ileuova said.
    “We will conduct exit polls throughout the country and interview voters at 200 polling stations. It is planned to engage 450 interviewers and about 30,000 voters will be interviewed,” Ms Ileuova said.
    According to Trend, she said this is being done as part of the Information and Analytical Center for the Study of the post-Soviet Union.
    In accordance with Kazakh legislation, the publication of sociological data on voting is prohibited on Election Day, when only the voter turnout figure can be announced, Kazinform reports.
