President receives prosecutor general

    Yesterday, President Nursultan Nazarbayev received Prosecutor General of Kazakhstan Askhat Daulbayev, a presidential press statement said.
    Daulbayev reported to the president on the situation with law and order throughout the country, on the progress of investigations into important criminal cases, including those related to the mass riots in the town of Zhanaozen in the Mangistau Oblast.
    The two parties talked about a wide range of issues, in particular the elimination of legal problems hampering law enforcement activity, efforts on part of law enforcement agencies to suppress contraband smuggling on the Sino-Kazakh border and the promotion of the civil aviation safety, Gazeta.kz said.
