Nazarbayev signs law on CSTO system

    President Nursultan Nazarbayev has ratified the protocol to ensure the technical and informational compatibility of weapons and military equipment as per the Collective Security Treaty Organization system, the Kazakh president's Press Office reports.
    The protocol is designed for the adoption of unified approaches for the use of national troops and forces of CSTO members for the organization's collective security force. Moreover, the protocol ensures the efficient management of forces under the collective security system and creates conditions to meet its needs.
    The Joint Staff of the organization should form a list of parameters and characteristics for weapons and military equipment according to proposals from the defense ministries of CSTO members.
    This list will be approved and will be compulsory, according to the Journal of the Turkish Weekly.
