Astana’s population exceeds 758 thousand

The population of Astana has exceeded 758,000 people, according to a news statement from the National Center for Health Development.
According to statistics, the capital’s population over the last five months grew by 15,089 persons.
Females account for 51.62% of the city populations, and males - 48.38%.
The adult population ( age 18 and above) is 74.55%, children under 14 years account for 22.02% of the total city population.
Almost half of Astana residents, or 48.13%, live in the Almaty District, 39.04% - in the Sary-Arka District, and 12.83% of city residents live in the Yesil District, Kazinform states.
