EXPO-2012 comes to an end

On August 12th, the closing ceremony in the city of Yeosu marked the end of international EXPO-2012 exposition called, The Living Ocean and Coast, which involved 104 countries.
Over three months, the exhibition welcomed almost 8 million people.
Each hour was full of meetings and cultural events, including The Day of Kazakhstan.
The Kazakh delegation was under close attention because of the country’s bid to host EXPO-2017.
At a recent meeting with President Nursultan Nazarbayev in Astana officials from the International Exhibitions Bureau noted that Kazakhstan is treating its application very seriously.
In Yeosu the country presented its proposal, and in November the bureau will announce the winner, Caspionet reports.
