Nazarbaev to arrive in Bishkek on August 22

    President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev will arrive in Bishkek on August 22, said Ilyas Omarov Head of Kazakh MFA press service at the briefing on Monday. Nazarbaev's visit is being held at the invitation of the President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambaev.
    "The highest level meeting will focus on a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation in political, commercial and economic, investment and cultural sectors. It is also planned to hold the third session of the Supreme Interstate Council. Participant of the session will discuss promising areas for Kazakh-Kyrgyz strategic partnership," Omarov said.
    Following the negotiations, a Jubilee Declaration on Strategic Partnership and Allied Relations between the two countries dedicated to 20 years of diplomatic ties and a number of other documents of mutual interest are to be signed.
    President Nazarbaev is also expected to participate in the Summit of Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking Nations held in Bishkek on August 23, Trend states.
