Nazarbayev awards Russian Foreign Minister Dostyk decoration

    President Nazarbayev has awarded Russian FM Sergey Lavrov with the Dostyk decoration of the 1^st degree, Tengrinews.kz reports, citing a news message from the Kazakhstan president.
    “President Nursultan Nazarbayev has awarded Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov with the Dostyk decoration of the 1^st degree,” the message writes.
    Kazakhstan’s President held a meeting with the Russian foreign minister during the anniversary session of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA). The president noted the importance of the upcoming Forum for Interregional Cooperation of Kazakhstan and Russia in the Enhancement of Partnership and Friendship between the two countries.
    “The meeting covered economic cooperation in different areas. The two parties discussed Russia’s support in the talks on Kazakhstan’s entrance into the WTO and the prospects of signing of a range of bilateral documents to enhance good neighborliness between the two countries,” the statement said.
    Kazakhstan’s president also held bilateral meetings with other participants in the CICA ministers’ meeting.
    He met with Iranian Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi, Palestinian Foreign minister Riyad al-Maliki, Secretary General of OSCE Lamberto Zannier and UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.
