Ertysbaev - Massimov to strengthen control over administration, agencies

25.09.2012
The new Chief-of-Staff of the Presidential Administration, Karim Massimov will strengthen control over government agencies, Advisor to the President for Political Affairs Ermukhamet Ertysbaev said, Tengrinews.kz reported.
"Today, the president instructed the head of the administration: to reinforce strict control over the office and public authorities, which includes the government, so it should comply with all rules and understand that Massimov can handle the job. Strengthening control over the regions was also set as a priority. Admittedly, this is certainly not pleasant, but it is necessary to recognize that we have some gaps in terms of control over the regions," Ertysbaev said.
He noted Massimov will be engaged in preventive work on situations such as those that recently occurred in the Atyrau region.
The President set clear and precise tasks for the new leader.
"The administration, which is the main headquarters of the country, as Nazarbayev said. It is a political element. I will tell you as a former Minister of Information that when we worked with Karim, he has always paid great attention to the ideological component - the media in the humanitarian sector. His premiership for six years is a useful experience in his new position," he explained.
The backbone of the government will remain unchanged, as the new Prime Minister will continue the policy of the previous government, according to the advisor, according to CA-News.
