Prosecutors ask for life for Chelakh

    Prosecutors are seeking a life sentence for border guard Vladislav Chelakh, reports Tengrinews.kz.
    Prosecutor Alexander Chiriac voiced the position of state prosecutors and asked the court to declare Chelakh guilty on a number of counts, including murder, theft of personal items, desertion and others.
    In particular, prosecutors asked for a life sentence for the "murder of two or more persons".
    For the other charges, they requested 49 years. They also asked the court to rule in favor of all claims filed by relatives, CA-News states.
