Danial Akhmetov and Akhmetzhan Yessimov receive First President awards

    On the eve of Independence Day, President Nazarbayev handed out some state awards, Tengrinews.kz reports.
    The Yelbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev First President of Kazakhstan Awards were presented to Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission Danial Akhmetov and Almaty Akim Akhmetzhan Yessimov.
    The Otan decoration was given to President of Sokolovsko-Sarbaiskoye Mining Union, Mukhametzhan Turdakhunov.
    The Barys First Class decorations were given to President of Kazakhstan Electrolytic Plant Almaz Ibragimov and Akim of the East Kazakhstan Oblast Berdibek Saparbayev.
    Professor of Satpayev Kazakhstan National Technical University Abdigappar Ashimov, Minister of Oil and Gas Sauat Mynbayev and head of Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund also received the Barys Second Class decorations.
    Barys Third Class decorations were awarded to board member and independent director of Kazakhstan radio and TV channel Sultan Orazaly and labor veteran Kakimbek Salykov.
    The Parasat (‘Nobility’ in Kazakh) decorations were awarded to Zhambyl Oblast Akim Kanat Bozymbayev, Deputy Prime Minister Yerbol Orynbayev, Chairman of the National Scientific Cardiac-Surgery Center Yuriy Pya and Chairman of the Central Election Commission Kuandyk Turgankulov.
    According to President Nazarbayev, the state awards were not only being handed out in Akorda but also in all other regions of the country.
    “I congratulate you on your awards. This is a big achievement for any person to receive such an appraisal of his job. This is a very important instrument for support and motivation toward better work. There are many awardees: the awards are presented today on my behalf all over Kazakhstan. The Akims and Ministers are awarding decorations and medals in all the regions today. I hope the awardees will take this as a big credit of trust in their job and will be role models in their activities and in the achievement of the goals our country is facing,” Nazarbayev said.
    After the award ceremony, Danial Akhmetov, who had been away from the public arena for some time, told journalists about his work in the Eurasian Economic Commission.
    “I will take all possible efforts to justify the president’s high level of trust. I am working as Minister of Energy and Infrastructure in the Eurasian Economic Commission. This is very tense and interesting work. I suppose, this is quite a new stage in my life as well,” Akhmetov said, www.tengrinews.kz said.
