Almaty investor creates life-saving swim suit – Innovations Forum

The winners in three separate contests on 50 innovative ideas were announced at the International Innovations Forum 2012 in Almaty.
An inventor from Almaty presenting at the International Innovations Forum-2012 has created a swim suit that can save someone from drowning.
Yevgeniy Khegai spoke to Tengrinews.kz about his invention.
He said a small device can be sewn into any swimming suit and if the swimmer goes more than 2 meters underwater, it automatically blows up the a saving bubble. Khegai believes the application of such anti-drowning devices can be very broad: from private use to military. He has already received a patent and is currently looking for investors.
Another innovative project presented at the Forum was from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University student, Alizhan Tazabekov, who ‘developed’ virtual reality glasses. The device looks like normal sport glasses but has small screens in the lenses. The screens are used as displays to show information. He said ‘chips are hidden in the temples’.
According to the inventor, KazakhTelecom has already showed interest them. "Wearing these glasses, ER doctors will be able to see a patients’ address and other information. They will be useful for soldiers, university and school students," Tazabekov said.
Zhanseit Akzhegitov, a student from the Almaty IT-University, invented a wireless computer mouse called Remouse that recharges automatically. It has a built-in generator that will charge the device from every click.
A student from the Kazakh-British Technical University created a software program with a set of teaching games called Twinect. The game requires a special device that reads hand movements. The gamer moves the cursor on the screen using hand movements, www.tengrinews.kz.
