11.07.2013
Kazakhstan citizens will now be able to obtain 5-year U.S. visas, Tengrinews.kz reports citing a news statement from Kazakhstan’s Foreign Ministry.
Kazakhstan and the U.S. exchanged notes on this agreement during Foreign Minister Yerlan Idrissov’s visit to Washington on July 9.
Americans will also be able to obtain 5-year Kazakhstan visas starting from August 1, 2013.
This regulation applies to diplomatic, business, official, tourist, private and student visas. Earlier the maximum visa expiry period was one year.
“The agreement is aimed at developing Kazakhstan-American strategic partnership, enhancing trade and economic, scientific-technical, cultural-humanitarian, tourist and other relations between the two countries, as well as simplifying travel conditions for the citizens of both countries,” the press-service writes.
