"The device (Geiger counter – KNL) immediately recorded excess radiation in the zone. The sensor registers 200-215 micro-roentgens an hour on the soil surface at a rate of 10-20, which is an excess of 10 times," Technical Director at the Center for Environmental Security, Vadim Shevchenko said Thursday, according to KazTAG.
