Kairat Kelimbetov becomes National Bank governor

Kairat Kelimbetov has been appointed as governor of the National Bank, a press announcement from the president reports.
"Nursultan Nazarbayev has said, Grigory Marchenko was dismissed as chairman of the National Bank for family reasons," the Ak Orda website reported Tuesday.
"He worked there for many years, including during the difficult years. He made a great contribution to the development of our country’s financial system, the work of the National Bank, the management of the National Science Foundation, and I am grateful for his efforts," Nazarbayev said, KazTAG wrote.
