Kazakhstan and Canada discuss simplification of visa regime in Astana

    The simplification of the visa system between Kazakhstan and Canada was discussed during a meeting of the heads of foreign ministries of Kazakhstan and Canada - Erlan Idrissov and John Baird, BNews.kz correspondent reports.
    "We also raised the issue of the simplification of contacts between our citizens. We asked Canada to consider ways to simplify trips for Kazakhstani citizens to Canada," Idrissov said.
    In turn, the Canadian foreign minister assured the issue would be considered in detail upon his return to the country.
    "I will raise this issue again upon our return to Canada. We are interested in this and are ready to discuss this issue," John Baird said.
    In addition, Erlan Idrissov and John Baird discussed the bilateral agenda concerning political interaction, trade, the attraction of investments, agriculture, cooperation through law enforcement agencies, Bnews.kz wrote.
