Experts say it is the most modern in the CIS in terms of all technical parameters.
Earthquake-resistant tunnels were constructed to ensure maximum safety.
The length of the first metro line is 8.5 km, and it includes seven stations. Despite the fact the metro was built just two years ago, it has been assessed at the international level.
This year, the Almaty Metro ‘won first place in the world for quality service’ (original – KNL).
Almaty plans to build two more stations next year. The further development of the metro will be continued westward.
