President to pay official visit to Hungary in 2014

    President Nursultan Nazarbayev is expected to pay an official visit to Hungary in May - June 2014, head of the Kazakh- Hungarian Business Council, MOL Executive Vice President Sandor Fashimon said during the third council meeting in Astana on Tuesday.
    "Today we are discussing all areas of cooperation between our countries," he said. "We must prepare the needed documents to be signed during President Nazarbayev's official visit to Budapest scheduled for May-June 2014."
    He said this will be President Nazarbayev's third visit to Hungary.
    Cooperation in the oil and gas industry, agricultural sector, medicine and other areas were discussed between the business communities of the two countries.
    The Kazakh- Hungarian Business Council is led by Deputy Chairman of the KazEnergy association Jambulat Sarsenov and Executive Vice President of the Hungarian MOL oil and gas company - Sandor Fashimon.
    The council is designed to effectively unite the business circles of the two countries.
    The grand opening of the Hungarian Trade House in Kazakhstan was held in May 2013. It was established to bring Hungarian technology and investments into the country.
    The Kazakh- Hungarian Business Council's agenda includes: bilateral economic cooperation, strengthening business cooperation in oil and gas and agriculture, as well as the development of vocational education.
    Consultations on the further development of cooperation in medicine and pharmaceuticals will continue.
    The fourth meeting of the Kazakh- Hungarian Business Council will be held in Budapest in February-March 2014, Trend wrote.
