Green corridor to open on Kazakhstan and China border

    A green corridor will be opened at the Bakhty and Pokitu checkpoints on the border between Kazakhstan and China today, December 23, Kazinform reports.
    Officials from the Customs Control Committee of the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan and the East Kazakhstan Oblast Administration will attend the opening ceremony.
    It was reported earlier the heads of the customs agencies of Kazakhstan and China had signed an agreement to open a green corridor at the Bakhty and Pokitu checkpoints by the end of this year.
    The Bakhty checkpoint is located in the Urjarsk District of the East Kazakhstan Oblast, 600 km from Ust-Kamenogorsk, CA-News states.
