The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has adopted a three-year strategy for aiding Kazakhstan, it said in a December 30 statement.
The strategy defines three priorities: diversifying and supporting the non-resource sector, balancing the state and market's economic roles, and promoting low-carbon growth and energy efficiency. The EBRD has invested about US $6.5 billion (998.7 billion KZT) in Kazakhstan in the past 20 years, Central Asia Online states.
