Kazakhstan to construct 2 schools in Bishkek and Osh

    President Nursultan Nazarbayev on January 14 signed a bill to build two schools in Kyrgyzstan, CA-News.org reported on January 15, citing Nazarbayev's Press Office.
    Kazakhstan will pay to build a 500-pupil school in Osh and a 1,200-pupil school in Bishkek, keeping a commitment it made in a 2012 treaty with Kyrgyzstan. Samruk-Kazyna, the country's sovereign wealth fund, will disburse the money.
    The schools will conduct instruction in Kyrgyz, Uzbek and Russian, according to Nazarbayev's wishes, Vecherny Bishkek reported, according to Central Asia Online.
