President Nazarbayev to visit China

    President Nursultan Nazarbayev will visit China, a presidential news release reported on March 6.
    Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Chen Guoping reported to the Kazakh president on the preparations for his upcoming visit to China during a meeting in Astana.
    During their previous meeting, the two parties discussed bilateral cooperation, as well as important aspects of the international agenda.
    Nazarbayev said Kazakhstan and China’s relations are ‘developing effectively,’ and Kazakhstan is interested in strengthening bilateral economic and political partnership further.
    The president also noted that China's preparation for the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia in Shanghai in May 2014 are underway at ‘a high level,’ Trend reports.
