United Arab Emirates will invest $1.6 billion into the construction of the Abu Dhabi Plaza in Astana.
"A meeting was held at the NADLoC National Agency for the Development of Local Content with the client for the multi-purpose Abu Dhabi Plaza - Aldar EuroAsia LLP. The parties involved discussed increasing the proportion of local content in the project," a statement from the agency said on April 11.
"On our part, we are ready to cooperate and to involve Kazakh professionals in the project. Around 75 percent of the workers employed in the project are citizens of Kazakhstan. Among our suppliers, we would like to see companies seeking novelty and willing to share their experience," General Director of Aldar EuroAsia LLP, Elias Dibb said.
The statement also noted that the parties involved plan to conduct an analysis and prepare a list of necessary domestic marketable positions, which can be beneficial in the construction process.
As was reported earlier, Abu Dhabi Plaza will be built in Astana.
It will be the tallest residential complex in the CIS. Its completion is scheduled for 2017, Trend reports.
