Over 9,000 runners participate in Almaty Charity Marathon

    Almaty city hosted the III Charity Marathon called - Courage to be the First, ,held under the auspices of the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS).
    More than 350 participants fr om 100 countries attended the event.
    Over 9000 visitors came to witness the race. Almaty Akim Akhmetzhan Yesimov attended.
    The marathon included a 3km,10km, 21km races.
    The finish line was at the Almaty central stadium, wh ere the winners and participants were presented with medals and gifts.
    In men's 10 km race, Eugene Garder came in first, in women's - Raisa Turezhanova.
    In men's 21 km race, Michael Krasilov took the first place, in women's - Julia Kolegova.
    In men's 42.195 km, Almat Imashev came first, in women's - Gulzhanat Zhanatbek, according to CA-News.
