Bahrain Chamber of Commerce Chairman receives Kazakh Ambassador

Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Chairman Khalid Abdulrahman Almoayyed received Riyadh-based Kazakh Ambassador to Bahrain Batyrshaev Bakhit and reviewed favourable investment opportunities in the two countries. The two sides discussed the implementation of recommendations which were reached during the recent visit of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa to Kazakhstan.
The BCCI Chairman stressed the necessity of following-up the implementation of the recommendations so as to bolster trade relations and pave the way for a sustainable strategic partnership between Bahrain and Kazakhstan.
He stressed the importance of the agreements and memoranda of understanding which were sealed between Bahraini businessmen and their Kazakh counterparts on the sidelines of HM the King's visit, saying that they would expand joint cooperation and bolster bilateral relations.
Almoayyed highlighted the need to intensify reciprocal business visits so as to boost the volume of trade exchanges and expand the scope of joint cooperation in all fields. Citing recent figures compiled by the Central Informatics Organisation (CIO), he said that the overall volume of trade of exchanges between Bahrain and Kazakhstan did not exceed $75,000.
The two sides discussed a series of proposals to promote joint investments, including streamlining visas procedures for Bahrainis to visit Kazakhstan and the launch of direct flights between the two countries as part of efforts to boost the volume of trade exchanges. The meeting was attended by BCCI First Deputy Chairman Othman Sharif Al-Rayyes, Treasurer Isa Abdulrahim Al-Refae and board members Abdulhameed Abduljabbar Al-Kooheji and Ahmed Abdulla bin Hindi in addition to Chief Executive Officer Nabeel Abdulrahman Al-Mahmood, according to the Bahrain News Agency.
