Parliament breaks for summer vacation

Kazakhstan's Parliament has closed its third session and is now not scheduled to reconvene until September 2014.
The last joint session of parliament (Senate and Majilis) was focused on the accomplishments of the third session. Out of 154 bills submitted to the parliament, 114 were from by Kazakh government and 11 bills were initiated by MPs. 104 laws were adopted and 80 laws were signed by the President.
The signed laws were related to the 2014-2016 national budget, public employment, the modernization of social infrastructure, regional development, and supporting SMEs, according to Ak Zhaik.
